Create Your Own Starting GitHub Issues Labels

I’ve recently been organizing my open-source projects on GitHub. While doing that, I got tired of manually setting up the labels I use for the project issues – I don’t like the standard ones.

I found a way to change the default issue labels, but it looks like it only works if you have a GitHub organization account.

To change the values, go to:

https://github.com/organizations/<YOUR_ORGANIZATION_NAME>/settings/repository-defaults

You can add, remove, and modify the labels names, description, and color here. This is my current setup.

Unfortunately, it looks like this will only apply to new projects, and not your previous ones.
